Share and Compare Play aims to provide independent, accurate and free information for the play community. We facilitate customers to post reviews about the products and services they have received from suppliers to the industry.

To help explain how this process works and to ensure the accuracy of each review posted we have produced this guide.

1. Who can Post a Review?
Any person who has received any kind of service or purchased any type of product from a supplier listed on the site (new suppliers are added all the time). This can, for example, include a review on the pre-sales service received and can also include more than one review from a reviewer on the same supplier (because the level of service experienced can change over time).

2. How can I post a review?

1. Firstly you must register as a user. Simply complete the registration form. You will then receive an email confirming your user name and password
2. You are now registered and can login to the site to review suppliers of which you have experience
3. Simply find the supplier under the Compare Suppliers menu and click on the “Write a Review” link under their Supplier Description on the site
4. Simply grade the supplier 1-5 stars (5 being excellent, 1 being poor), give your review a title (eg "One in a Million") and write your comments
5. Click submit
6. Your review is added to other reviews and then some clever computer stuff positions the suppliers according to star rating, think of it as top of the pops for play supply!

3. What should I include in my review?
Your review must be an honest reflection of the service or your experience with a supplier. The purpose of the review is to help inform other users of the way a supplier treated you, so they can make an informed decision as to whether they should make contact with them. Therefore some general tips would include:

• Make it as relevant as possible, be sure to let other users know what product or service you received and when you received it.
• Try to make the review as generic as possible, so mentioning individuals may not be that relevant, but brand names etc will be useful
• Explain in detail what you did or did not like from the supplier and your reasons why
• Let the reader know who you are e.g. if you operate a Play Centre, be sure to write down the name of the centre and include a link to your website if you wish

4. What happens to my review then?
Once you have submitted the review, it will be live on the site and will be shown on the Profile Page of that particular supplier. You can find it by locating the supplier under the “Compare Suppliers” tab on the site and clicking on the Profile Page next to their Expert Review. Your name, review and star rating will all appear and the most recent review on that supplier will appear at the top.

Your star rating directly affects that particular suppliers positioning on their category page. Those suppliers with the highest ratings will appear higher up the page than those with low ratings.

5. What about Fake reviews?
We take the accuracy of our reviews extremely seriously and hence have a strict procedure in place to check the authenticity of any questionable review. In brief this will take the following steps:

1. Any review that has been brought into question will automatically have “Authenticity of Review in Question” text next to the review whilst we investigate its accuracy
2. The supplier and reviewer in question will then be contacted so we can determine the reviews authenticity
3. If the supplier or reviewer from our initial enquiry cannot verify the authenticity, we will then submit our Review Clarification form to the reviewer, who then has 48 hours to complete and return the form. Any incomplete or non-returned form will result in the review being removed
4. Upon successful receipt of the form, a detailed analysis of the review will then be completed, and a final decision whether to keep the review in place will be taken
5. If a supplier is found to have engaged in any activity to encourage fake reviews then this will be reflected in the position of that supplier in future rankings
